Located in the heart of the West Loop, Wicker Park, and River North, Parlor’s menu features fresh, local ingredients for brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night service. Our ideal cook will be responsible for food production, preparation and a la carte cooking according to the company standards and recipe specifications.  We are looking for passionate industry professionals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform basic knife skills in the preparation and production of food items
  • Able to follow recipes and procedures according to company guidelines
  • Ability to stay organized and clean in a fast-paced environment
  • Understands basic sanitation practices and procedures
  • Be proficient in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Show flexibility in terms of your schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
  • Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness 
  • Be a team player; Help fellow employees when possible
  • Valid food handlers card / certificate
  • Able to work in a fast paced / high energy environment 
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends
  • Must be reliable, positive, team oriented, and willing to learn
  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Other duties will be assigned on an as needed basis
  • Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as needed
